I am 1,000 Years Old =]

Cambridge University geneticist Aubrey de Grey has famously stated, “The first person to live to be 1,000 years old is certainly alive today …whether they realize it or not, barring accidents and suicide, most people now 40 years or younger can expect to live for centuries.”

People always want to have a longer lifetime, they would do anything they can do in order to avoid death. Some people even pay vastly to ask the scientist to save their body and let them rebirth after death.
I sort of understand why people want to have a longer lifetime, some people asked for that because they feel like they missed too many in the early life, they make some mistakes, and they want to make it up; some people might want to hold on their power; some wants to finish their dream, etc. People are greedy, we have endless to do list, we have endless dream and desire. It is not an easy task to satisfy a person.

However, personally I do not really want to live forever, or to live for centuries. I would admitted that living for centuries sounds excited and pretty interesting, because I can have a chance to see how the world changes. But here is the problem, What if I have a really bad health after centuries? What if the world getting worse after centuries?

Even we only have 50 years lifetime but if we enjoy every second, and we had spend every minutes for doing the right things, then our life is valuable, and it is a very nice trip. However, if we spend all the days for doing nothing, committing crime, wasting time for bad thing, then even we have an endless lifetime, it means nothing.

Nevertheless, I think this article is trying to emphasized the well develop of health care, and medical services, in the future, human would deserved a longer lifetime.
