FEED

The book Feed by M.T. Anderson was a description of a dystopian society where everyone was connected mentally through the ‘feed’. The ‘feed’ is a device that installed in people’s head, the ‘feed’ is useful- it provides everything, from educational to entertainment; from helping us to have an easy life to control our life. The ‘feed’ will BRING us EVERYTHING- the updated news, fashion index, movies, TV shows. The ‘feed’ will TEACH us EVERYTHING- it contains textbooks, dictionaries, encyclopedias, etc. For more, the ‘feed’ can also helps to transfer message between one another. In the other word, we are able to talk, to share with our friend ANYWHERE, ANYTIME. ‘Feed’ will always on, unless it is damaged or had been hacked.

Honestly, whenever I was suffered from homework, frustrated from studying, I wished I had a ‘feed’ badly. Though I believe the ‘feed’ can helps me to have an easy life, but seriously, I DO NOT want to have one to install in my mind forever, because I would rather to live along with my mind instead of being control by someone else.

Anderson expresses how does he feels the negative consequences of over-depending on technology through the novel, Feed. He explores the negative impact of technology, and how would technology harm our life. I believe Anderson is trying to give an advice to his audience that though technology can brings a lot of conveniences to our life, but we should learn to find a way to keep ourselves in the reality.
